“As a child I always preferred being outside. My love of plants, animals and anything to do with nature filled me with delight, curiosity and interest. Some years ago I had an opportunity to change my career in manufacturing. I switched paths, trained in garden design and started my own company, Nurture Nature. I found I could combine city living and being surrounded by nature with earning an income. My work has taken me to Italy, Spain and the USA, where I worked for families in their summer gardens. I design gardens for schools, install temporary plants for charity events and festivals, and continue to maintain the gardens of private clients across London. I am passionate about careful planning and plant selection, and believe gardens can be engaging, integrative and harmonious for all ages no matter the space available. I make the walk through the garden a journey, with sitting areas incorporated into the planting and a definite area to sit and socialise at the bottom.
More recently I have become interested in pushing boundaries by bringing plants into office environments in exciting, dynamic ways. So Urban Worm was born. I now work with a talented team of individuals who share my love of gardening and together we help bring ideas and vision to life.”
We believe urban environments are becoming synonymous with planted interiors. Urban Worm strives to lead this movement by creating happier, healthier work spaces through cutting edge design and working with nature in artistic ways.
